Introduction...

The Organic Blueberry Company started growing blueberries on Bedport farm in 2007, and hopefully we will have our first modest harvest in 2008.

Who we are...

George and Janett started farming on Bedport farm in the summer of 2004 after working in organic farming for many years in the UK as well as in Turkey.

Bedport is a small, 30 acre, North Devon farm which has been farmed for probably more then 800 years. In the past, dairy, beef, and sheep were kept, and cereals were grown.

Since 1998 Bedport has been an organic poultry farm. In the last three years, we have reduced the number of laying hens kept on the farm, we have created more space in the chicken houses, planted three hectares of woodland and some new hedge rows, dug one new pond and planted the blueberry orchard. Of course all the land and produce is certified organic.
